Dear Members,

As I begin my year as President of this wonderful organization, I want to extend heartfelt thanks to Becky Taylor, our Past President, for her outstanding leadership. Becky has guided us with clarity and strength, and her support has been instrumental in preparing me for the road ahead. Her dedication has given me both insight and encouragement as I step into this role with intention, purpose, and direction.

As we enter the holiday season, it is important that we remain mindful of developments in our industry. From the court holiday schedule to new legislation being introduced at our state capital, and the ongoing challenges of real estate fraud, we must stay vigilant. While I know the topic of fraud can feel repetitive, a recent case reminded me how critical it is to keep this issue front and center.

Looking ahead, our first major event will be VLTA Advocacy Day on January 20, 2026. This is a valuable opportunity to engage directly with legislators and demonstrate our commitment to protecting the integrity of our industry. On January 21, 2026, we will continue these conversations one-on-one with legislators and their staff. These meetings allow us to share our expertise and ensure that the voices of our profession are heard.

As I said in my inaugural speech, we must be the voice for our industry. Together, we can raise our voices, amplify our concerns, and protect the future of our profession and the homes of our customers.

I hope everyone a warm and safe holiday season.
