On November 7, 2018, VLTA was honored to host nearly 150 land title professionals in Northern Virginia for a regional event. Attendees earned 4 hours of continuing education credits, and enjoyed a cocktail party after the event, sponsored by Amtrust Title Insurance Company.
Attendees heard sessions on Audit and File Review, Escheat, Cybersecurity, and the Virginia Technology Trust Fund. Speakers included Yoland Lemus-Castro of Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, Carol Frye of Escrow Resolution Services, Judi Brewer of Audit Ready Escrows, Melissa Ellis of SME, Inc., and the Honorable Gary Clemens, Clerk of the Loudoun County Circuit Court. We are delighted to have the opportunity to grow our relationship with Virginia’s Clerks of Court and hope to host more Clerks of Court at future regional events.
